What you need to know
The history of floriculture in Sa Dec began in the early 20th century. One of the main highlights is the unique cultivation technique: due to the risk of flooding, farmers place flower beds on raised bamboo or concrete platforms above the water. You can see farmers moving between the flowers on narrow boats, making this an ideal spot for atmospheric photographs. Over 2,000 plant species are grown here, including rare varieties of roses, chrysanthemums, orchids, and bonsai.
The best time to visit is 3-4 weeks before Tet (Lunar New Year). During this period, the village blooms with millions of flowers prepared for the New Year.
