Ong Dung Bay (Bãi Ông Đụng) is a picturesque spot on the western coast of Con Son Island. The beach attracts ecotourism enthusiasts, offering the chance to walk through the tropical forest, spot exotic animals, and snorkel among coral reefs far from the tourist crowds.

What you need to know
The beach is located about 2–5 km from the center of Con Son. It is accessible only on foot via a tropical forest trail in the national park (about a 1-hour walk). The 700-meter hiking trail crosses the historic Ma Thien Lanh Bridge, built by prisoners during the colonial period.
The coastline is rocky with boulders. In the forest area, you can encounter the endemic Con Dao black giant squirrel, large mountain crabs in the mangrove swamps, and rare species of pigeons.
For snorkeling, keep in mind that the reefs are located 300–1000 meters offshore. Visibility can vary, and currents can be strong. It is recommended to bring flippers and sturdy footwear for walking on rocks.
The optimal time in terms of weather and snorkeling conditions. The dry season lasts from November to February, but spring is the most favorable period.
