Shellfish Fields and Towers
The roughly 5 km long beach is a specialized aquaculture zone. The main attraction is the 5-meter-high bamboo watchtowers. Watchmen use them to guard multi-hectare oyster plots. During low tide, a surreal landscape is revealed: an endless expanse of wet sand and rows of towers stretching into the distance, transforming into "poetic" subjects in the rays of the rising and setting sun.
For Travelers
Visitors can try their hand as shellfish gatherers on the tidal flats (equipment is available for rent). After harvesting, the fresh catch can be cooked at one of the local coastal restaurants. There is no usual service with white sand and cocktails here, but there is the genuine atmosphere of a working delta.
Peak season, when the water is warm and coastal business is active. Weekdays are the best time to avoid crowds of local tourists. Avoid the period from November to March due to cold monsoon winds and grey skies.
