About

What you need to know

Hang Pagoda is located in Thuong Hang village, Hoa Lu district. The complex consists of three cave levels (lower, middle, and upper), connected by stone stairs and passageways.

The lower cave, with its 15-meter-high vaulted ceiling, houses the main altar featuring a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha and a bronze bell. Inside the caves, stalactites and stalagmites are well preserved, and the space itself is filled with the scent of incense and the tranquility cherished by locals who come here to pray. The climb to the upper cave involves conquering about 200 steps. This authentic sanctuary has retained its original appearance without souvenir stalls.
