Phu Cuong Church is the cathedral of the Diocese of Phú Cường and a striking example of modern religious architecture in Vietnam. History and Architecture
The history of the church began in 1864 with the first brick church built by the French priest Solerel Constant-Joseph. The modern cathedral, completed in 2014, is the fourth building on this site.
The architecture of the cathedral impresses with its original forms: the building is designed in gray and white tones with delicate Gothic patterns. The main architectural feature is a 41-meter-high dome, complemented by pointed spires and arched stained-glass windows. The area around the church is well-kept and decorated with a statue of the Virgin Mary, and the access roads to the cathedral are arranged in harmonious arched lines.
