What you need to know
The park is located in Như Thanh and Như Xuân districts. Its heart is the 3,000-hectare Song Muc Lake, surrounded by 21 islands. It is home to over 1,500 species of animals, including rare elephants and gibbons, and boasts over 1,400 plant species.
Visitors can explore the lake by motorboat or kayak, visit caves with stalactites, "Youth Island," and go hiking along forest trails. Historic temples (Khe Rong, Phu Sung) are located in the park's buffer zone, and in the surrounding areas, you can encounter ethnic minority groups such as the Kinh, Mường, Thái, and Thổ, who preserve their traditions.
The dry season provides the most comfortable conditions for hiking and boat tours on the lake.
