What you need to know
Bao Loc's tea industry originated in the 1930s. Today, more than 7,000 hectares of fields stretch across the area, cultivating exquisite oolong varieties: Tu Quy, Thanh Tam, Kim Xuyen, and Bat Thien.
Tourists can visit the Tam Chau farm (15 km from downtown Bao Loc), where besides buggy rides and tastings, you can tour the leaf processing plant. The processing method combines traditional manual harvesting with modern Japanese, American, and Taiwanese technologies. Additionally, the hills on the outskirts of the city with the Phuoc Loc, Thien Thanh, Tri Viet, and other productions are open for free exploration.
The dry season with clear weather is the best time for photography and walking through the plantations.
