What you need to know
Bảo Lộc has an ideal climate for growing coffee: red volcanic soils, high humidity, and an altitude of 300–800 meters create wonderful conditions for the Robusta variety. The first plantations here began to appear thanks to French companies back in the 1930s–1940s, who also introduced the culture of tea cultivation.
Today, the district produces thousands of tons of coffee beans annually. Unlike the tourist-bustling Đà Lạt, Bảo Lộc's plantations retain a more authentic look, offering guests a chance to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of traditional farming labor surrounded by impressive mountain scenery.
Peak harvest season. During this period, you can watch farmers at work and enjoy fresh coffee. March to May is also favorable for visiting and tastings.
