The Nam Dinh Museum is a treasury of Vietnamese history, spanning an area of 12,000 m² and housing about 25,000 exhibits. A visit to the museum offers a journey through time: from prehistoric finds and Ly and Tran dynasty ceramics to artifacts from the resistance wars. The museum grounds also feature a national monument — the historical Nam Dinh Flagpole.

What you need to know
The modern museum building is divided into three floors: the lower level is reserved for storage and administration, while the second and third floors house permanent exhibitions. The main collection details the periods from the 13th to the 20th century.
Special attention should be paid to the outdoor exhibition, featuring ancient architectural elements, sculptures of mythical creatures, and military equipment. The pride of the museum is the Nam Dinh Flagpole, a significant structure from the Nguyen dynasty. For visitor convenience, 3D information retrieval technologies have been introduced, and a virtual 3D tour is available on the museum's website.
