Co Trach Temple (Đền Cố Trạch), which translates to "house of antiquity," is a significant cultural site within the Tran temple complex. Built in the late 19th century on the historical homeland of the Tran clan, this temple preserves the memory of the great military commander Tran Hung Dao, who led Vietnam's defense during the Mongol invasions.

What you need to know
The temple was built in 1894 on the grounds where the dwelling of national hero Tran Hung Dao (Hưng Đạo Đại Vương) formerly stood. The complex includes four main chambers:
- Tien Duong (front hall): place of veneration for generals Pham Ngo, Pham Ngu Lao, and Nguyen Che Nghia.
- Trung Duong (inner hall): dedicated to Tran Hung Dao himself and his sons.
- Trinh Tam (sanctuary): dedicated to the commander's family and parents.
- Thieu Huong (Kinh Dan): the main hall with a statue of Tran Hung Dao and Buddhist deities.
The entire Tran sanctuary system was officially recognized as a unique national monument of Vietnam in 2012.
