What you need to know
The museum is located in Long Xuyen city and occupies a restored early 20th-century feudal estate building, which is an architectural monument in its own right. The exhibition is divided into 6 thematic sections covering a wide range of the province's cultural heritage.
Of particular value are the collections from the Oc Eo civilization: ancient Brahma and Buddha statues, Lingam-Yoni, as well as rare artifacts salvaged from six ancient shipwrecks. This is a must-see for anyone wanting to understand the deep historical roots of Southern Vietnam.
