Crafts & History
Hoi An Silk Village is a living crafts museum located just 1 km from the historical city center. Here you can witness the entire silk-making process: from breeding silkworms in a garden with 300-year-old trees to weaving on ancient looms and tailoring finished products at the local workshop.

What you need to know
A visit to the village is an immersion into the region's textile history. The grounds house a museum, an ancient mulberry park, and a research center. Visitors can not only observe craftsmen at work but also participate in a weaving workshop. You can finish your walk at a restaurant with a European interior and garden, serving both European and traditional Vietnamese dishes. The local shop offers custom tailoring for clothing (dresses, suits, shirts) made from high-quality silk.
Dry season with minimal rainfall. For comfortable photos and a pleasant walk, we recommend visiting from 08:00 to 09:00 or before sunset to avoid the summer midday heat.
