Truc Lam Monastery is a place of spiritual tranquility, built between 1993 and 1994 to revive the teachings of the Truc Lam lineage. The complex spans 24 hectares on top of Phoenix Mountain and is famous for its magnificent flower gardens, Zen-style architecture, and stunning views of Tuyen Lam Lake.

What you need to know
The monastery is an important religious center. The path to the main temple leads through 140 stone steps surrounded by pine trees. Inside the complex, you will find the main hall housing valuable relics of Shakyamuni Buddha, bas-reliefs depicting the eight manifestations of the Buddha, and a statue of the Buddha seated on a lotus.
It is important to remember that the monastery is an active religious institution. Tourists are welcome to visit the flower gardens and the main temple, but the inner residential quarters of the monks are closed to the public. You can also enjoy views of Tuyen Lam Lake, which is accessible via a stone staircase.
