History
The Bắc Sơn Uprising Museum is an important site for understanding Vietnam's revolutionary history. Located in Lạng Sơn province, the museum not only preserves the memory of the events of September 27, 1940, but is also a unique architectural landmark built in the style of a traditional Tày ethnic stilt house.

What you need to know
The museum is located in Long Hưng village, near National Route 1B. It was opened in 1985 to commemorate the Bắc Sơn Uprising — the first major armed movement led by the Indochinese Communist Party.
The exhibition is divided into three thematic blocks:
- Ancient history of the Bắc Sơn region.
- Chronicle and details of the 1940 uprising.
- Preservation of revolutionary traditions.
Visitors can see many authentic documents and wartime artifacts. Next to the museum is also the Bắc Sơn Martyrs Memorial Temple, complementing the atmosphere of the place.
