Ba Om Pond is an amazing place located in Ward 8, Tra Vinh City. Famous as a national cultural and historical monument, it attracts visitors with its calm blue water, pristine forest, and the rich cultural heritage of the Khmer people.

What you need to know
The pond has a rectangular shape (500 by 300 meters) and is surrounded by a forest of about 500 ancient oil and star-anise trees aged several centuries. According to a popular legend, the pond was dug during a competition between men's and women's groups, in which the women led by Ba Om won through trickery.
Today it is an ideal place for walking, picnicking, and exploring Khmer culture. A particularly significant event is the Ok Om Bok festival, held here on the full moon of the 10th month of the lunar calendar.
The dry season is the best time to visit, when the water in the pond is clearest and has a pleasant bluish hue.
