The Vương Dynasty Palace is an architectural masterpiece built in the early 20th century for the prominent Hmong leader Vương Chính Đức. The palace bears witness to the region's era of prosperity and is a unique example of the blending of Chinese, European, and Hmong construction traditions.

What you need to know
The palace, construction of which took nearly 10 years (1898–1907), became a symbol of Vương Chính Đức's power. Covering an area of over 1,200 m², the building is surrounded by thick stone walls and features 64 rooms.
The palace's architecture is strikingly diverse, combining Yunnan styles, French fireplaces and bathtubs, and authentic Hmong decorative details, including wood and stone carvings of dragons and phoenixes. Since 1993, the building has held the status of a national monument. Today, visitors can see original household items, tools, and weapons that belonged to the ruler's descendants.
The dry season provides the best visibility of the plateau's landscapes and comfortable access to the Sa Phìn valley.
