The Vinh Long Province Museum is a significant educational center recognized as a tourist attraction in the Mekong Delta. Founded in 1993, it houses over 27,000 exhibits reflecting the rich history, revolutionary heritage, and ethnic diversity of the region. Visiting this museum provides a unique opportunity to see rare Óc Eo culture artifacts and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Southern Vietnam across various eras.

The museum is located in a spacious area (over 12,000 m²) right in the city center, directly facing the Cô Chiên River. The exhibition is divided into several key zones:
- History and Revolution Building: The former governor's palace from the French colonial period.
- Ethnic Group Culture: A unique collection of daily life items from the Kinh, Chinese, and Khmer peoples.
- Ancient Heritage House: A reconstructed traditional Southern Vietnamese dwelling from the 19th century.
- Outdoor Area: An exhibition of Vietnam War-era military hardware, including tanks, aircraft, and artillery, as well as remnants of the old prison infrastructure.
Among the highlights of the collection are the statue of the god Vishnu (6th–7th century) and the goddess Saraswati, recognized as national treasures of Vietnam.
The museum is open Tuesday through Friday: mornings from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM and afternoons from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Weekdays offer a quiet atmosphere conducive to a leisurely visit.
