St. Anne's Cathedral in Vinh Long is not only the cathedral church of the Catholic diocese, but also an architectural gem of the region. Resembling a giant ship, the building is one of the largest Catholic structures in Vietnam and a place of spiritual attraction, included in the list of Jubilee churches for the Holy Year 2025.

What you need to know
The current cathedral building was erected in 1964–1967. Its facade features a unique pentagonal shape symbolizing the bow of a ship sailing into the open sea, while the 17-meter iron cross on the roof represents the "Ship of Christ." The interior, designed to accommodate 2,500 parishioners, is adorned with red wooden columns and stained glass windows. The history of the community traces back to 1867 when the first chapel and orphanage were established here.
The dry season is ideal for walking around the city and exploring the cathedral in comfortable weather conditions.
