What you need to know
The first church on this site was built in 1918, and the modern appearance of the building took shape in 1972. The temple is built of red brick and decorated with delicate white ornaments on the dome. The building's architecture reflects the stages of development of the Catholic community: from a modest seminary in 1882 to a monumental two-tower structure built in 1934.
The church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and serves as the center of parish activity. If you are planning a visit, it is open to tourists during worship hours (a total of nine liturgies on Sundays and two services on weekdays).
