The Naval Museum (Bảo tàng Hải quân) is a significant historical site founded on January 24, 1975. Located in the port city of Hai Phong, the museum serves not only as a repository of 11,000 artifacts but also as a symbol of the country's naval power. The museum building is shaped like a warship "cutting through the waves," making it a regional architectural landmark.

What you need to know
The museum holds the status of a national museum of grade II. Its exhibition area of over 4,800 m² (including the outdoor area) is divided into five key thematic blocks: from the history of the navy's inception (1955–1964) to modern strategies for defending sovereignty in the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.
Main exhibits:
- "Ship without a number" (HQ671) — a national treasure since 2017, which completed 20 weapon-transport missions during the war and participated in the liberation of Truong Sa.
- Ka-25 helicopter and Tank 689, which saw combat in Cambodia.
- A massive collection of coastal missile systems, artillery, and mine-sweeping equipment.
