The Gia Lai Provincial Museum is the region's main cultural and historical center, holding over 7,000 artifacts across an area of more than 1,200 sq. m. It is an ideal place to immerse oneself in the history of the Champa civilization, study the daily life of the Jrai and Bahnar ethnic groups, and discover unique archaeological finds, including traces of ancient opal-working workshops.

What you need to know
Following a major renovation in 2026, the museum has become even more accessible to tourists: exhibitions are supplemented with QR codes and interactive displays have been installed.
Key sections:
- Archaeology: finds up to 3,500 years old, including artifacts from the Plei Ring excavation sites.
- Champa Gold Treasures: officially recognized state relics (9th–10th centuries), including the famous lotus-shaped vase.
- Ethnography: authentic musical instruments and traditional dwellings of the Jrai and Bahnar peoples.
- History: documents and artifacts illustrating the region's life from 1976–1986.
The museum features comfortable climate control, making visits pleasant at any time of the year.
