The Hoang A Tuong Palace is an architectural gem of the Bac Ha region, built in the early 20th century. For eight years, top craftsmen created a residence that served not only as a home for the family of the "Hmong Kings," but also as a fortified stronghold. Today, it is a restored historical monument where you can experience local ethnic cultures and appreciate the striking symbiosis of European arched architecture and Eastern spatial philosophy.

What you need to know
History and Architecture Construction of the palace took place from 1914 to 1921. Designed by French and Chinese architects, the building reflects a unique blend of styles. Spanning 4,000 square meters, the estate comprises 36 rooms and features an enclosed rectangular layout unusual for its time. The main building is adorned with arched doorways and laurel branch motifs in its decoration, symbolizing happiness and prosperity.

- Exhibition: Some rooms are dedicated to the sale of handmade crafts: silver rings, brocade dresses, and shirts.
- Wine Still: A traditional production model for Bac Ha corn wine has been recreated on-site.
- Feng Shui: The palace is situated on a hill surrounded by "mother and child" mountains, giving it a unique spiritual energy.
In spring, white plum blossoms bloom in the region, and in June, the traditional festival featuring horse racing takes place.
