Bao Ha Temple is a significant historical and spiritual center located in Lao Cai province. Built during the late Le dynasty era, the temple became a place of worship for General Hoang Bay, protector of Vietnam's northern borders. What you need to know
The temple was erected during the reign of the Le dynasty (1740–1786) and today holds the status of a national historical and cultural monument. The architectural complex includes traditional attributes: the Three-Entrance Gate (Tam Quan), the main courtyard, the forbidden palace, and the guesthouse. The temple grounds are well-landscaped and decorated with statues characteristic of the Le era. Every year on the 17th day of the 7th lunar month, a grand festival with traditional rituals takes place here, making this time especially interesting for immersing oneself in local culture and spiritual life.
Dry season with moderate temperatures. Visiting early in the morning is recommended, when the mountains are shrouded in mist and a special tranquility reigns in the temple.
