Overview
Ba Ria - Vung Tau province is located on the southeastern coast of Vietnam and is administratively part of the Ho Chi Minh City metropolitan area. It is one of the most economically developed regions in the country, with an industry based on the oil and gas sector. The province boasts a high Human Development Index and ranks third in the country in standard of living. The territory of the province is diverse, ranging from mountainous landscapes in the north (Dinh Mountain) to the coast and the remote Con Dao archipelago.
