Good to know
The facility was established on the site of a former US military base and today serves as a center for the study and processing of snake-based medicines. Visitors can explore Vietnam's first Snake Museum (built in 1996), which features over 50 reptile species, including rare specimens from the country's Red Book.
Of special interest are the venom extraction demonstrations, held on weekends at 10:00 AM. In addition to snakes, the complex houses crocodiles, a restaurant, a souvenir shop, and an amusement park.
The dry season is the most favorable time to visit. It is recommended to avoid the rainy season (June-October) when the center's medical ward is overwhelmed with snakebite patients.
