History
Kam Temple is an atmospheric place steeped in the spirit of Vietnamese history. Founded in the 19th century in the forested area of Lao Cai, the temple serves as a memorial for soldiers of the Tran dynasty era and a place to worship the Goddess Kam, a local saint known as a healer and protector of the poor. Despite its venerable age, the temple remains an important cultural site reflecting the architectural traditions and religious heritage of the region.

History and Architecture
The temple was built as a memorial to soldiers who fought against enemies in the 13th century. Its architecture echoes the style of the Dinh dynasty (10th–11th centuries): the building features a characteristic T-shaped floor plan. A signature feature of the temple is its double-tiered roof with curved lines resembling the shape of a boat. The construction is made of brick and stone.

Status and Preservation
In 2001, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam classified the site as a national historical and cultural monument. Currently, the government is implementing a large-scale restoration program (2023–2026) with an investment volume of over 37.6 billion VND to save the monument from the effects of time and natural factors.
The dry season provides the most comfortable conditions for walking through the forest area and exploring the temple's architecture.
