What you need to know
The beach is located between the mouths of two rivers, which gives the water a silt-brown tint. The main natural attraction is three natural water basins ("hủng") that fill with clean seawater during low tide. These are ideal spots for families with children to swim.
Tourists should also visit the Lăng Ông Nam Hải sanctuary, which houses the skeletal remains of large marine life, and take a walk through local vineyards or mangrove plantations. In October and November of the lunar calendar, the shore becomes covered with sea snails, making for an unusual sight.
The summer months are the best time to visit, as the sea becomes calmer and weather conditions are most favorable for beach walks.
