Cathedral, Church is a category that includes all the most beautiful and famous Catholic churches and cathedrals. You might ask — how is there Catholicism in Asia? The thing is that the Vietnamese state was colonized by the French — therefore, for almost 100 years, the colonizers managed to begin replacing Buddhism with Catholicism.
In all major cities of Vietnam, cathedrals or Catholic churches are a must-have. Some of them are impressive in their size, for example, the cathedral in the city of Nam Dinh — Khoai Dong, or Notre-Dame de Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City.
Interestingly, some cities have temples that combine traditional Vietnamese folk culture with Catholicism. The church in the city of Pleiku, named Montagnard, is built in this manner. Essentially, it is a Catholic church constructed in the architectural style of local traditional ethnic groups. This was how the French tried to adapt the Catholic faith in Vietnam.
