Vietnam's Nhan Dan newspaper has highlighted 3 major events taking place in April that you simply cannot miss.

Huế Festival

This colorful festival will take place in the center of Vietnam's ancient capital and will run for several days from April 27 to May 2. A very interesting and diverse show program is expected, featuring the following highlights: the "áo dài" traditional dress festival, the Chuyên Lộc ritual, human chess, the Nam Giao worship ritual which will be held at night in the royal palace, and much, much more.

A light show using a massive number of LED lamps will be held on the main pedestrian tourist street. A festive fireworks display will also take place near the flagpole tower.

Hạ Long Carnival

One of the country's largest and most anticipated events. The grand opening will take place in the central park of Hạ Long City on April 28. The carnival is a dance show featuring hundreds of dancers, singers, and musicians in vibrant costumes, all accompanied by a laser and light show.

After the festival, be sure to visit one of the country's natural wonders with landscapes that will stay with you forever — Hạ Long Bay. This place has been an inspiration for many creative individuals. The famous limestone peaks are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Moreover, the waters of Hạ Long have served as a filming location for numerous foreign movies.

Đà Nẵng International Fireworks Festival

This event will last for 2 months, from April 30 to June 30. The festival is held annually, but this is the first time it has lasted this long, as this year marks its 10th anniversary. Seven international pyrotechnic teams are planning to participate. The opening duel will take place on the night of April 29 to 30, kicked off by two teams: Poland and Vietnam.

The grand finale of this massive event is scheduled for June 30. Throughout the 2 months, many other supporting events will take place in the city's central area. From May 1 to 26, up to 70 large hot air balloons will soar over Hòa Trung Lake. The city streets will also host carnivals and Asian food festivals.
