A Dubai-like district to be built in Da Nang, Vietnam

The goal of constructing this innovative district is, of course, to attract investors and increase tourist flow.

The administration of Da Nang has proposed building a new district, which is suggested to be located right in the city's bay, to strengthen the central metropolis.

Over the next 20 years, the northern part of the coastal land plot could become a special zone with striking architecture and, naturally, an expanded range of services.

Details of the upcoming project were discussed in a report on the general development of the region by city leaders along with the People's Committee. One of the pursued goals of the new district is to significantly elevate the city's status. During the discussion, opinions were raised that the potential of the bay is not being fully utilized.

Tran Du Lich, a consultant to the Prime Minister of Vietnam, stated that to begin project implementation, it is necessary to develop and adopt policies regarding investment and construction, as well as prepare an action plan. He referenced the example of building such a district in Dubai, emphasizing the economic benefits.

The new district will develop resorts on the one hand, and on the other hand, a major program will be created to establish a tourism image of Da Nang for advertising to foreign guests.

During the conference, it was stated that the socio-economic development plan for Da Nang up to 2035, drafted by the region's top specialists, will become the basis for the vector of development.

Da Nang Bay is located near international sea lanes that cross the East Vietnamese Sea, giving the city an already strategically important location for international trade. The coastline stretches for 30 km from the Son Tra peninsula to the Hai Van mountain.
