Zipline

Flight over jungles and canyons

ActiveDry 1–3 hours Year-round, more comfortable in dry season 4 places

What it is and why

Zipline parks in Vietnam are actively developing, offering both short attractions for family recreation and extended routes for thrill seekers. The most impressive locations are in Da Lat and national parks of the central region, where routes are laid directly over tree crowns or deep mountain gorges.

Technically everything is simple: you put on a harness, attach to a roller and under instructor supervision go into flight. In some places, for example in Pongour park, routes include not only descent but also overcoming rope obstacles at height, which turns the activity into a full adventure for 2-3 hours.

Tips

  • Be sure to choose footwear with closed toe that firmly holds on the foot — flip-flops are categorically not suitable for zipline.
  • Check for certification and serviceability of rollers before start; reliable parks conduct detailed briefing.
  • Do not forget to take an action camera with chest or helmet mount — panoramic views of jungles are worth it.
  • Best time for flight is morning or pre-sunset time: lighting is softer, and air temperature is more comfortable for activities at height.

Caution

  • Not recommended for people with fear of heights and cardiovascular problems.
  • During strong wind or heavy rains attractions close for safety.
  • Listen carefully to instructor about braking rules to avoid hitting the platform.
