What it is and why

Entertainment parks in Vietnam are huge thematic complexes, often integrated into resort zones. Most of them combine ultramodern American slides, interactive zones for children, huge oceanariums and tropical water parks. Here can spend whole day, moving from closed game halls to zones of extreme attractions.

Main players on this market are parks of network VinWonders and Sun World. They are famous not only by architecture, but also by capturing locations: some parks are located on islands, reachable by longest cable road over sea, others — on tops of mountains, surrounded by foggy forests or French colonial architecture.

Planning visit, worth laying minimum one full day. Most parks offer single entrance ticket, giving unlimited access to all attractions, that makes them excellent option for family rest or active day with friends.

Tips

  • Come to opening (usually at 8:30–9:00), to have time to ride on popular slides without queues.
  • Book tickets online on official sites or through aggregators — this almost always cheaper than in cash desk, and saves time.
  • In parks on islands or in mountains necessarily take with you cream from sun and headwear: shade often only in rooms.
  • Download map of park in advance. Territories huge, and planning of route will help not to miss evening shows or parades.

Caution

  • In strong wind or downpour operators can temporarily stop work of street carousels and slides for safety reasons.
  • Avoid weekends and holidays (especially Vietnamese New Year Tet), if you do not like to stand in queues; weekdays — best time for visiting.
