History
Thu Khoa Huan Temple is a landmark historical site built in honor of Nguyen Huu Huan (1830–1875), an outstanding scholar and military commander who gave his life in the struggle against French colonizers. What you need to know
Nguyen Huu Huan, holder of the "Thủ Khoa" (chief scholar) degree, traded a career in education for the path of armed resistance against French expansion. His life ended with a tragic death in his native village of Mỹ Tịnh An in 1875. The temple, built 100 meters from his execution site, symbolizes the people's deep respect for their hero.

- Stone Tomb: Built by descendants and locals in 1927 to replace the original earthen mound.
- Architectural Complex: Built in 1995, the temple is designed in a traditional Vietnamese style. Inside, an altar, a bronze statue, and ritual incense burners are carefully preserved.
- Park Grounds: A well-kept garden with local flowers surrounds the temple, creating an atmosphere of peace and contemplation.
