History
The Phu My Monument, also known as "Bia căm thù" (Stela of Hatred), is an important historical site located at the former French garrison. It is a place of remembrance for the tragic events of 1945–1947 and a symbol of the resilience of the Vietnamese people.

What you need to know
The memorial is located in Phu My commune, Tan Phuoc district. It was erected to commemorate the crimes committed by French colonial rule and auxiliary troops between 1945 and 1947. Special attention in the memorial's history is given to the French officer Tayet (known as "Tay Bua"), whose cruelty toward the civilian population became notorious.
In 1994, the Ministry of Culture and Information of Vietnam officially recognized the monument as a national heritage site. Today, the complex features two significant relief compositions illustrating the historical events of that period. In 2023, extensive restoration work was carried out on the monument to preserve its appearance and significance for future generations. Currently, the site is actively used for the patriotic education of youth and is visited by organized tourist groups of students.
