The Hanoi Ceramic Mosaic (Con đường Gốm sứ) is a unique monumental artwork stretching for nearly 4 kilometers along the Red River. Created for the capital's 1000th anniversary, this wall turned an ordinary protective dike into a grandiose artistic landmark entered in the Guinness Book of World Records.

What you need to know
The project was initiated by artist Nguyen Thu Thuy and implemented by hundreds of Vietnamese and international artisans, students, and children. Covering 6,950 square meters, it captures the entire history of Vietnam: from ancient legends and the Dong Son, Ly, and Nguyen dynasties to modern Hanoi.
The mosaic consists of 21 art pieces made from millions of ceramic tiles. The wall serves not only as a cultural heritage asset, but also as a functioning flood barrier, making it an essential part of the city's infrastructure.
