Tham Phay Cave, located in Na Slai village (Hoang Tri commune, Ba Be district), is a hidden treasure for adventure enthusiasts. This place is famous for its untouched underground world, including high-water streams and impressive rock formations resembling "monster teeth" at the entrance.

What you need to know
Tham Phay Cave was first officially explored in 2014. Its length ranges from 3 to 5 km, and its height reaches 40 meters. One of its main features is an intricate network of crystal-clear underground streams, through which layers of sand and white gravel can be seen at the bottom.
The descent into the cave is a full-scale hike: the path winds through terraced fields and bamboo bridges, and the entrance requires scaling a steep rocky slope using a rope. Inside, bizarrely shaped stalactites and a steadily dropping temperature await you. Remember that due to the risk of floods, entry into the cave is only possible during the dry season (November–April).
The dry season is the only time when water levels in the streams allow for safe exploration of the cave.
