The Ngoc Linh Nature Reserve is a vast protected area covering 41,420 hectares, located in Kon Tum Province. This place strikes the imagination with its complex mountain topography, rich biodiversity, and status as one of the most significant natural parks in ASEAN.

What you need to know
The reserve covers the Southern Truong Son mountain range and includes Vietnam's second-highest peak, Mount Ngoc Linh (2,598 m). The terrain is characterized by steep slopes and dense vegetation. The area is recognized as a Global Endemic Bird Area and an important biodiversity center, home to 309 animal species and 847 plant species.
The main value of the reserve is Ngoc Linh ginseng (Panax vietnamensis), a rare endemic medicinal plant, for the conservation of which more than 38,100 hectares of the territory have been allocated. Visitors are attracted by the mild mountain climate, although it is worth noting that it is often foggy and cloudy here.
