What you need to know
The museum was built in 1995 and opened to visitors in 1997. Set on a 1-hectare area, it features a two-story building spanning 1,700 m². Inside, it houses over 800 artifacts, including agricultural tools, traditional clothing, musical instruments (such as snake-skin string instruments), and models of Buddhist pagodas. The exhibition traces the centuries-old history of the region's Khmer community. The ideal time to visit is April, when the Khmer New Year (Chol Chnam Thmey) is celebrated.
The dry season with moderate temperatures is the most comfortable for walking around the complex and its surroundings.
