Opened in 1990 for the centenary of the "Father of the Nation," the Ho Chi Minh Museum is a vital landmark of Vietnam's historical heritage. The building, designed in the shape of a blooming lotus, preserves over 170,000 artifacts tracing Ho Chi Minh's journey from a young seeker of national liberation to a world-class political leader. Visiting the museum allows for a deeper understanding of 20th-century Vietnamese history.

What you need to know
The 4,000-square-meter exhibition is organized chronologically into eight thematic sections: from Ho Chi Minh's childhood and youth (1890–1910) to his activities as a national hero. A monumental three-ton bronze statue of the president is installed in the lobby.
Important before your visit:
- The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday (closed on Mondays and Fridays).
- Opening hours: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM and 2:00 PM–4:30 PM.
- A strict dress code applies: covered shoulders and knees, no beachwear.
The dry and cool season is ideal for long walks around the Ba Dinh complex. We recommend arriving right at opening time on a weekday to avoid crowds.
