History and Architecture
History and Architecture
Construction of the temple began in 1928 and lasted 5 years. The building is designed in the shape of the Chinese character for "life/king" (Ж-shape) and includes front, middle, and rear (harem) sections. The architecture is in the traditional style: brick columns and reinforced concrete beams are adorned with carvings of sacred animals (dragons) and floral motifs (pine, chrysanthemum, bamboo, apricot). Of particular note are the six carved wooden door panels in the Nguyễn dynasty style.
